Phoenix Theater mural, 2013
201 Washington Street (south side of building), Petaluma
Watts' mural on the Phoenix Theater opened the flood gates for public art in Petaluma. At the urging of Petaluma photographer and art lover, Scott Hess, Watts transformed 3,000 square feet towering above downtown Petaluma into a colorful wall of dripping rainbows. Since the creation of this mural, Petaluma has formed the PPAC (Petaluma Public Art Committee), a committee dedicated to bringing more art into the civic sphere and public spaces of Petaluma.
