As I enter my 70th year, my interest in how women feel about aging intensifies. This project reflects interviews I recorded with eight women who ranged in age from 58 to 95. I wanted to know how they felt about their bodies now compared to when they were young and what they like and dislike about how they are aging. Following each interview, I photographed my models in the nude. I specifically told them that, if they were bothered by having upper thighs that are full of cellulite that was not there when they were young, that is what I would photograph. If they had spots or growths on their bodies that magically appeared as they aged, that is what I would photograph. I wanted them to understand that I was not trying to sugarcoat the process of aging, but to display it in all of its wrinkled glory. This video is the culmination of that project.
