Saturday, April 5, 2025, 5-8pm, Art from the Heart celebrates its 41st-anniversary benefit auction and party at the University Art Gallery, at Sonoma State University! Proceeds from the auction directly benefit the Art Gallery's exhibition, publication, and lecture programs—programs that educate and inspire our campus and surrounding community.
As always, Art from the Heart is an exciting evening of art, food, wine, and music that has become one of the oldest continually-held fundraising events in the area and a must for novice and seasoned collectors alike. The event features a silent auction of modestly-priced works by over 130 artists from Sonoma County and across the U.S., including current SSU students and professional artists like Joel Bennett, Mineko Grimmer, Erik Castro, Catherine Daley, Damian Estrella, Cynthia Hipkiss, Susan Moulton, Mark Perlman, Inez Storer, Shane Weare, Bambi Waterman, and Cate White among many others. It’s a great way to support the Gallery (and in turn, the careers of worthy artists), and go home with an original work of art.
With warmer weather, we're expanding into our beautiful courtyard, offering more space to enjoy the artwork, mingle with friends, and make new ones, and enjoy creative activities. Enjoy a printmaking station and create your very own masterpiece; dance to the dynamic sounds of a vinyl set expertly spun by DJ Gabe Dez of Rain Dog Records; and don't forget to capture the fun in our photo booth, hosted by Luxelens.

$40 suggestion donation; Student discount $20 per ticket (with valid school ID); no one turned away due to lack of funds.
Pre-sale tickets available beginning 3/15 through 3/28. Prices (before Mar. 28): $30 for two or more or $35 per single ticket.
