Juried Student Exhibition 2026

The University Art Gallery at Sonoma State University is pleased to present its annual Juried Student Exhibition, one of the Gallery’s most celebrated traditions, dating back to 1978. The exhibition opens Thursday, November 19, with a public reception from 4 to 6 PM and remains on view through December 18, 2026.

Featuring original artwork by current Sonoma State University students across a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and digital media, the exhibition celebrates the creativity and artistic expression of SSU’s student community. Open to students from all academic disciplines, this year’s exhibition will be juried by two distinguished arts professionals: Arleene Correa Valencia, artist, and Loretta Esparza, Curator and Public Services Librarian at Santa Rosa Junior College.

Join guest jurors Arleene Correa Valencia and Loretta Esparza as they share insights into their professional practices, perspectives, and approaches to contemporary art.
