Land, Sky, and Sea: A Tapestry of Perspectives
University Art Gallery
12:00 am
– 11:59 pm
The University Art Gallery at Sonoma State is proud to present Land, Sky, and Sea: A Tapestry of Perspectives, a group exhibition featuring the works of Sonoma County artists Catherine Daley, Adrian Mendoza, and Bambi Waterman. On view from February 6 to March 15, 2025, this exhibition explores the natural world through terrestrial, aerial, and underwater lenses.
Daley’s minimalist sculptures, bronzes, and landscape photographs highlight the fragile and subtle beauty of our planet. Mendoza’s aerial photography and fiber art showcase dynamic, patterned landscapes in jewel-like tones and stark black-and-white contrasts. Waterman’s detailed ceramics and underwater landscape paintings capture the delicate and stunning beauty of our oceans. Together, these works invite reflection on the critical need for environmental awareness and protection.
Join us for the public Opening Reception on February 6, from 4 to 6 p.m., and don’t miss the Artist Talk on February 27, from 12:05 to 1:00 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public. Visitors driving to the SSU campus must purchase a daily parking pass from any automated parking kiosk.
