Other Campus Galleries
In addition to the University Art Gallery, SSU has several other public spaces on campus where visitors may view stimulating and challenging works of art. These include the GK Hardt and Dwight Galleries in Weill Hall at the Green Music Center and The Rage Gallery in the Art Department building. In addition, the University has several works of public art located across campus.
The Dwight Gallery, also known as the Courtyard Gallery, is located inside the courtyard entrance to Weill Hall. The Dwight Gallery is named after Herb and Jane Dwight, generous donors to the campaign to build the Green Music Center. The gallery features artwork from the SSU Art Collection on a rotating basis.
The GK Hardt Gallery is located on the second floor of Weill Hall in the GMC. Named after Gunther "GK" Hardt (1918-2004), a generous donor who contributed to the capital campaign that build the Green Music Center, the gallery features works of art from the SSU Art Collection on a rotating basis.
The Rage Gallery is located in Room 137 of the Art Department. This student-run venue features displays of student work on a rotating basis throughout the academic year.
